Deburring robots clean the part surface by removing burrs, sharp edges or excess from metal parts. Manufacturers use industrial deburring robots to increase the precision of the part being ground.

Robotic deburring improves part quality because the robot can be programmed for the surface of each part and the robot end equipment required to apply the right amount and type of pressure to each area can be customized. A typical deburring tool used by robots runs between 18,000 and 25,000 cycles. This speed is dangerous for manual use due to the risk of burr spatter and contact with the tip equipment.
